Happy Birthday Beyonce

Birthday wishes to 16-time Grammy winning singer, songwriter, dancer, producer and actress Beyoncé who celebrates today (September 4).  Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter was born and raised in Houston, Texas.  When she was eight she joined her first group called Girl's Tyme, featuring LaTavia Roberson and Kelly Rowland, and the three went on to form the hit girl group Destiny's Child.  Beyoncé released her debut solo album, Dangerously In Love in 2003 followed by B'Day (2006), I Am... Sasha Fierce (2008) and 4 (2011).  In 2001 she made her acting debut in the MTV made-for-television film Carmen: A Hip Hopera and has also appeared in the films Austin Powers in Goldmember, Dreamgirls and Cadillac Records, among others.  In 2008 she married rap star Jay-Z and the couple welcomed their first child, daughter Blue Ivy Carter, on January 7, 2012.  Beyoncé is currently working on new material for her next album and has two new films in production - the Clint Eastwood directed A Star Is Born and the children's movie Epic, both due out in 2013.
